How It Works
The standard pregnancy duration is 280 days (40 weeks) measured from the first day of your Last Menstrual Period (LMP). This is known as gestational age.
If you know your conception date, we add 14 days (the typical ovulation offset) to estimate LMP, then add 280 days for the due date.
For ultrasound dating, we work backward from the scan date using the gestational age shown on the scan, then calculate forward to the due date. Ultrasound dating in the first trimester is the most accurate method.
